PROFILE

During my doctoral research, I achieved the application of ultrasound elasticity imaging technology to vascular wall elasticity measurements and developed an innovative ultrasound based blood velocity measurement techniques using speckle decorrelation method.  My research will be greatly beneficial to cardiovascular disease patients because they have stiff vascular wall and their blood velocity at the vascular wall may be slower than healthy people. Since September 2012, I have been conducting research as a post-doctoral research associate at School of Medicine in University of Pittsburgh, where I am attempting to apply my engineering expertise in diagnostic ultrasound imaging technology.  My research here investigates the 3-dimensional ultrasound elasticity imaging technology and application of the technology to human heart motion estimation.  The 3-dimensional ultrasound elasticity imaging technology will greatly improve the accuracy of heart motion measurements and contribute the diagnosis of heart diseases.
