Research Interests
Dr. Toma joined UPMC as clinical faculty in the Cardiac Catheterization laboratory in 2007. Dr. Toma’s current research interests include development of cell-based therapies for the treatment of myocardial dysfunction, involving both translational as well as clinical trial work. In addition, Dr. Toma is investigating therapeutic applications of intravascular ultrasound for the treatment of coronary artery disease.
